In addition to writing and taking photos during her trips, Jamie loves to find hidden gems, cheap eats, and kitschy Americana attractions. She hails from Oil City, Pennsylvania, went to college in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, studied abroad in Norwich, England, and moved to Boston in May of 2007. She also enjoys writing poetry and lyric essays, reading lots of books, being a foodie, listening to girl group tunes from the 1960s, crafting, and dinner parties with her friends.

CNN.com recently published an article entitled which included of Seattle.
It’s located in the historic Pioneer District of the city, known for its nightclubs, galleries, sports venues, and architecture. The store houses 150,000 new and used books, along with one or two readings every night. The readings range from “…a first-time poet to Dave Sedaris returning for his 10th time,” which creates a vibrant literary community.

For the weekends of February 8-10 and 15-17, the brings a myriad of talent to the area.
The festival is bringing from as far away as Tokyo and the Netherlands to perform, as well as offer hands-on workshops to the public. It’s the largest festival of its kind in North America and is the birthplace of many inspired collaborations between artists.
