CNN.com recently published an article entitled “Nine Bookstores Worth a Tourist Stop,” which included Elliott Bay Book Co. of Seattle.

It’s located in the historic Pioneer District of the city, known for its nightclubs, galleries, sports venues, and architecture. The store houses 150,000 new and used books, along with one or two readings every night. The readings range from “…a first-time poet to Dave Sedaris returning for his 10th time,” which creates a vibrant literary community.
